Interactive Case Studies in Medicine - A Guide
Interactive training materials are becoming more popular and useful for teaching in the fields of medicine and medical education. Advances in technology have allowed physicians to use their computers as important training tools for practicing clinical diagnosis, treatment, and patient management. One of the more popular uses of interactive training materials in medicine is the interactive case study. The interactive case study presents the physician with a "patient treatment scenario" in which the physician is given information relating to a "hypothetical patient" and must work through the interactive program to successfully treat the patient. There are many different sources on the Internet for accessing interactive case studies in medicine. The purpose of this blog is to serve as a guide to physicians where they can go to find links to quality interactive case studies along with information related to best practices for working with an interactive case study. This blog will also provide links to peer reviewed literature abstracts of interactive case studies in the medical field. We have also set up a Delicious account for physicinas to reccomend links to their favorite interactive case studies on the web.
